Busy, Busy, Busy

Alright.....I have had many people request that I update my blog because it has been a long time. We have been pretty busy in the Potvin household so I apologize for no new updates :-) As many of you know life has changed a little bit for us and no, it is not just the new addition of baby Potvin on the way :-) Although we certainly have been preparing for the new baby by starting to get the nusery done, I have had my first baby shower, and another this upcoming weekend. We found out that Jill, my older sister is expecting her third child in April. This is exciting because the two will be so close in age and hopefully be not only great cousins but great friends! I promise to post some new pictures soon...I am certainly getting bigger at 25 weeks pregnant already! The newest life change is that Jon has recently started a new job. He recently left his postion at MetLife and took a job with Allied Mechanical Serivces, my dad's company. His new position there is in Business Development. We are very excited!

18 Weeks Pregnant!

Well it has been some time since I last posted and so here is yet another picture of me at 18 weeks pregnant...although this picture was taken last week, I am now 19 weeks already!

Jon and I took a glass bottom boat tour and the opening you see is called the "Window to the Pacific." The Pacific ocean is connected to the Sea of Cortez.

Jon and I just got back from a week in Mexico. The trip was supposed to be our last hoorah before we got pregnant......but God has something else planned, he decided to bless us about 3 months early :-) We went to Cabo San Lucas and stayed at the RIU Sante Fe, which was a fabulous resort. We got plenty of rest and relaxation and had wonderful weather!

Yes you have heard right....we are having a BABY!

Well the word is out....we are indeed adding to our family :-) So I thought I would jump on the banwagon and start blogging. Although, you won't probably find much on our blog until our little miracle arrives but I will be sure to keep you all updated as things in our life begins to change. So, the next question you all are probably wondering is how did you tell your family and friends?? Well to make it short we used T-shirts to spread the news to our families. For my family I put my 3 nieces in T-shirts. Gabbie wore one that read "Did you hear?" Lily wore one that read "We are getting a new cousin!" and Alexa wore one that read "Our little miracle due February 27." Needless to say my family was so very excited! As for Jon's family we used Eric (Jon's brother) and Nicole (Eric's girlfriend) to spread the good news. We spent the weekend of July 27th in the Upper Peninisula visiting his parents and of course sharing our news! We gave Eric and Nicole T-shirts before we left and instructed them they had to wear them when we arrived at Jon's parent's house. Eric's shirt read, "Sombody is going to be a daddy," and Nicole's read, "And it is not Eric!" Well, to make a long story short his mom figured it out first and was about ready to throw up when Nicole came up and she was able to read Nicole's T-shirt. The soon-to-be grandparents are so very excited!
