Some Firsts.....

Owen is 3 weeks old today...I really can't believe it. He is already beginning to change. We went to his 2 week appointment last week and he is a growing little boy. He weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. when he was born and went home from the hospital at 6 lbs. 10 oz. and he is now 7 lbs. 10 oz......almost 8 lbs! He is a good eater and has been sleeping pretty good :-) Jon and I are sleep deprived but it is so worth it! He has had his first bath and his first bottle....which he took like a champ! He has been such a joy!

Oh how life has changed......

Well here are some more updated pictures of Owen....he is now 1 week and 3 days old and life has certainly changed for Jon and I but you often forget what life was like before this little new blessing. God has been so good!

Owen was born on March 2, 2009 at 8:34 PM and weighed 7 Ibs. 2 oz. He was born via c-section. So everyone has been wanting the story...so here it is. Jon and I went in on Sunday night the 1st for a scheduled induction. I was induced that night and things were progressing very well until I reached 8 centimeters and little Owen just would not drop down. Basically to make a long story short without going into much detail, my pelvis is too small to deliver the normal way. So c-sections it will be for future children for me! But Jon and I and Owen are dong great and we certainly have been blessed!

Well we have finally finished the nursery for the baby. Here are the pictures and a video of the nursery. Now we patiently await baby Potvin.....only 2 more weeks until my due date!!

7 More Weeks!

So I am finally updating the blog.....Jon and I had a wonderful Christmas and a wonderful New Year and we both hope all of you did as well! I am at 33 weeks and I can't believe how close D-Day is for me...well that is if I go on my due date (24th) which I am not counting on. :-) I had another set of maternity pictures taken at 30 weeks and I thought I would share some of them. Busy, Busy, Busy

Alright.....I have had many people request that I update my blog because it has been a long time. We have been pretty busy in the Potvin household so I apologize for no new updates :-) As many of you know life has changed a little bit for us and no, it is not just the new addition of baby Potvin on the way :-) Although we certainly have been preparing for the new baby by starting to get the nusery done, I have had my first baby shower, and another this upcoming weekend. We found out that Jill, my older sister is expecting her third child in April. This is exciting because the two will be so close in age and hopefully be not only great cousins but great friends! I promise to post some new pictures soon...I am certainly getting bigger at 25 weeks pregnant already! The newest life change is that Jon has recently started a new job. He recently left his postion at MetLife and took a job with Allied Mechanical Serivces, my dad's company. His new position there is in Business Development. We are very excited!
